Cronuts
I was by the Dominique Ansel Bakery after an early morning meeting and found the line to be fairly short so I gave in and got a cronut (after a mere hour waiting in line). I have to say that it was worth it. The texture and taste and both fabulous. I found that 1/4 to a 1/2 cronut per person is enough as it's pretty rich.

5 Pointz
If you've ever taken the LIE to or from Midtown to either LaGuardia or Kennedy airport then chances are that you've seen 5
Poitz. This cultural institution in Long Island City, a home for graffiti artists, will be torn down this winter by a real estate developer. I went to capture some images earlier this fall and was so glad that I did as artists recently painted the building white prior to demolition.
